Level II Technician – Job Description

We're looking for a candidate with a good work ethic and a willingness to learn who is capable of working alone or in a team environment, and who is also a self-starter with proven networking capabilities and experience in a client server environment. An ability to follow directions is a must.

Job Requirements:
3+ years designing, supporting and maintaining client server networks. A working knowledge of current server and PC hardware. A working knowledge of wired and wireless LAN technologies. A working knowledge of TCP/IP networking. Experience with Microsoft Windows server environment including Active Directory, MS Exchange, DHCP, DNS, IIS, SQL, File Sharing and Printing. Experience with Windows 2000, XP, and Vista in a Windows Domain environment. Good network troubleshooting skills, OSI Model. Experience using Microsoft Office products. A familiarity with other operating systems such as Apple OSX, Linux and Unix a plus but not a requirement.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Excellent people skills are required. Must project a positive service attitude. Must be able to develop a good rapport with customers and present and promote products and services to these customers. Must have a high aptitude for trouble-shooting.

It is preferable that Network Technicians have one or more of the following certifications: MCP, MCSE, CCNA, A+, Security+

Network Technicians are required to read and understand all company marketing and promotional materials as they relate to the sales of the company's services and products. Network Technicians are also required to maintain up to date knowledge of new products being released on to the market.
